Brief Description

The R&S®ESU is a family of CISPR 16-1-1-compliant EMI test receivers that meet all civil and military standards for electromagnetic disturbance measurements. The R&S®ESU-K53 FFT-based time-domain scan option allows users to perform overview measurements up to 1000 times faster than on standard EMI test receivers. The R&S®ESU also features automatic and interactive measurement functions, parallel IF analysis and up to three detectors in parallel including the average detector with meter time constant (CISPR-Average), RMS-Average detector, and APD (amplitude probability distribution to CISPR 16).

Brief Description

The R&S®BBA100 is a family of modular, flexible, state-of-the-art broadband amplifiers. The monitoring and control options allow the setup of very compact systems. R&S®BBA100 "grows" with the requirements. The instrument can be upgraded, thereby providing maximum investment protection and readiness for the future.

The R&S®BBA100 broadband amplifiers are suitable for a variety of applications in EMC environments, communications, research and physical engineering. They are optimally scalable and configurable. Due to their modular design, the amplifiers can be tailored to meet specific requirements with regard to output power and frequency range.

Even in its basic version the 5 HU 19" base unit
includes a powerful system controller that controls the installed frequency bands (RF paths), switches the associated components (input switches, preamplifiers, sample port switches, output switches) and monitors the system.

The user interface (both on the instrument and via web browser) allows efficient operation, and various remote control interfaces make it possible to integrate the amplifier into automated environments and systems. Extension units accommodate additional amplifier units, allowing the R&S®BBA100 to be expanded into a system featuring higher power and/or multiple frequency bands.

Brief Description

The R&S®ESRP EMI test receiver has been designed for diagnostic measurements during development and for precompliance measurements in order to prepare products for final certification testing. It measures electromagnetic disturbances in the frequency range from 10 Hz to 7 GHz, using either conventional stepped frequency scan or an FFT-based time domain scan, a method that significantly speeds up measurements. At the same time, the R&S®ESRP is a full-featured, powerful signal and spectrum analyzer for lab applications. The R&S®ESRP comes with a straightforward menu structure that combines with the intuitive touchscreen to make the test receiver very easy to operate in any mode.

The R&S®ESRP EMI test receiver uses an FFT-based time domain scan to carry out EMI measurements that took hours in the past in just a fraction of this time. This considerably cuts time and cost in product development and in preparing the product for final certification. An optional preselection function prevents overloading of the frontend and ensures reproducible results. The R&S®ESRP comes with tried-and-tested functions such as IF analysis for displaying the spectrum around disturbance signals, or spectrogram display in the analyzer mode, to help users analyze disturbance signals. The neatly organized menu structure makes it easy to navigate to a desired function or setting.

The instrument can simultaneously display up to six different traces on its 21 cm (8.4") touchscreen for fast, effective result analysis. Featuring compact dimensions, low weight, an optional ruggedized housing and optional DC power supply, the R&S®ESRP is perfectly suited also for mobile applications.

Brief Description

In combination with Rohde & Schwarz spectrum analyzers, the R&S®TS-EMF measurement system detects high-frequency electromagnetic fields in the environment (EMF). The isotropic antenna, together with the software, which has been specifically designed for EMF measurements, allows simple and precise evaluation of total and individual emissions on-site.

Measuring EMF emissions in line with national and international standards provides a basis for ensuring that transmitter systems comply with the applicable limits and for communicating this to the general public. The key criterion is a precise, easy-to-make on-site measurement.

The R&S®ENV216 two-line V-network meets the requirements of CISPR 16-1-2, EN 55016-1-2, VDE 0876 and ANSI C63.4 for V-networks with a simulated impedance of (50 μH + 5 Ω ) || 50 Ω in the frequency range 9 kHz to 30 MHz. A female connector with protective earth contacts is provided for connecting the EUT. Various models with country-specific connector systems are available.

Brief Description

The R&S®ENY21 and R&S®ENY41 coupling networks have been designed to measure the asymmetrical (common- mode) RFI voltage of unshielded, symmetrical telecommunications ports of EUTs. The measurements can be performed in the frequency range from 150 kHz to 30 MHz and are in line with the CISPR 22: 2005 and EN 55022: 2006 product standards.

The R&S®ENY21 and R&S®ENY41 can also be used for immunity measurements of the EUTs. These measurements can be performed in the frequency range from 150 kHz to 80 MHz and are in line with the CISPR 24, EN 55024, and IEC 61000‑4-6 product standards.

The coupling networks are tested and calibrated in line with CISPR 16-1-2. The calibration data supplied refers to a symmetrical impedance of 100 Ω.

R&S®ES-SCAN is a cost-efficient software application that has been developed for Rohde & Schwarz EMI test receivers and spectrum analyzers. The main requirements of electromagnetic interference measurements in accordance with commercial standards have been combined in an easy-to-use application: measurement settings and storage, scan data acquisition and display with automatic data reduction, peak search with acceptance limit and selection of subranges, final measurement with worst-case selection, report generation, and measurement data storage.
